Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about how FlipMail finds qualified leads in your inbox, drafts replies, protects your data, and bills for results.

General

FlipMail watches for cold pitches that arrive in your Gmail inbox, enriches and scores the sender against your ideal customer profile, then drafts a reply when the company looks like a real fit.

The sender starts the conversation by pitching you. FlipMail identifies the pitch, checks whether the sender and company match your ICP, and prepares a reverse pitch in the same thread so you can turn their cold outreach into your warm reply.

FlipMail is built for SaaS, services, agencies, portfolio operators, and teams that sell to founders, salespeople, marketers, agencies, or growth teams. It works best when your inbox gets enough inbound pitches that good prospects can hide in the noise.

A qualified lead is a sender whose company profile and message intent clear the ICP threshold you set. FlipMail looks at fit signals such as company type, stage, size, location, and what the person actually wrote before surfacing the match.

No. FlipMail drafts replies, but nothing goes out without you. You review the suggested reply, edit it if needed, and choose whether to send it.

FlipMail drafts replies in Gmail, in the same conversation where the cold pitch arrived. That keeps the context intact and lets you respond from your real inbox.

FlipMail is designed for real-time processing. Leads are scored and drafted within 90 seconds of the email arriving.

Yes. Growth supports multiple inboxes, and Power supports multiple brands and ICP profiles. That makes it useful for agencies, portfolios, and operators with several offers.

Security

FlipMail connects through Google OAuth. You grant access in a few clicks, there is no email forwarding, and you can disconnect an inbox at any time.

FlipMail requests the Gmail API scope gmail.modify so we can read message content and metadata for inbound workflows (excluding Sent in our default scan), create drafts in Gmail, and send only when you take action in FlipMail or enable a setting that allows it. Sign-in with Google may bundle profile and email scopes in one consent step depending on how you create your account.

FlipMail accesses message metadata and content only as needed to provide the service, such as detecting cold inbound outreach, scoring fit against your ICP, and drafting suggested replies in the same thread.

You choose a retention mode in the product: store all imported email we process, store full content only for messages we classify as cold inbound (the default for many users), or minimize stored bodies while keeping metadata that powers scoring and the UI. You can change this later in settings. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

In FlipMail, go to Settings → Mailboxes and disconnect the inbox. You can also remove FlipMail under your Google Account third-party app access. Step-by-step help is on https://flipmail.ai/help/google-access/

Deleting your account removes your workspace in FlipMail, including connected mailboxes and stored email data, subject to any legal retention we are required to keep. Contact [email protected] if you need us to process a deletion request.

No. FlipMail does not use your email message content to train generalized machine learning or large language models for unrelated products. Your content is processed to deliver the features you request.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can read that policy at https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy

FlipMail uses technical and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. The service is designed to minimize retained email content based on your privacy settings.
